Visit Japan's number one Hikyoeki (Secluded Station) - Koboro, and savor the flavor of Toyoura's famous scallops. As it is accessible only by train, Koboro station will be reached by taking a local train from JR Rebun Station. Situated outdoors, but between two tunnels, Koboro station is truly isolated. Due to it's inaccessible location, the surrounding nature is untouched. The train stops and waits at the platform for 43 minutes, allowing for just enough time to explore the area.As soon as one steps off the train, it becomes clear that human presence is unusual in this area, where the true power of nature resonates throughout. The overwhelming sense of isolation is what earns this station the distinction of "Hikyoeki".Join your guide in wandering through the area, creating your own footprints in the snow alongside those of the animals you are bound to discover along the way! A trip like this can instill in you a deeper appreciation for the little things in life.Within minutes of heading in the direction of Buntaro Beach, a breathtaking image suddenly comes into view. The blue sea stretches out ahead as far as the eyes can see, and on a clear day, the peaks of snow-capped mountains seem to be floating in the sky above, making for truly picturesque scenery.
